Prof. WANG won The Falling Walls Science Breakthroughs of The Year 2023

On Aug.16th, Falling Walls Foundation unveiled the shortlist for Science Breakthrough of the Year 2023.

Among a pool of over 1,000 exceptional entries from around the globe, Professor Wang was selected as one of the 10 winners in the Engineering & Technology category. The officials from the Falling Walls Foundation awarded him the title "Breaking the Wall to the Leidenfrost Effect“, and evaluate his science breakthrough to this award as,

"Zuankai Wang revolutionized thermal engineering with the heterogenous integration of materials with opposite thermal properties and distinct topographies, resulting in a persistent contact between liquid, solid, and enhanced heat transfer."
