Prof. WANG won the inaugural BOCHK SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION PRIZE

In the award ceremony held on Dec.22th, Prof. WANG was granted the inaugural BOCHK SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION PRIZE (STIP) in Advanced Manufacturing, for his seminal contributions to bridging nature-inspired and manufacturing innovations with fundamental understanding of surface science, and the development of natured-inspired surfaces, materials, energy harvesting and thermal system with high efficiency, productivity, durability, reliability, and environmental sustainability.

Established in 2022, STIP aims at facilitating the development of science and technology innovation in Hong Kong by rewarding the outstanding people and groups who have made significant contributions to the science and technology innovation in Hong Kong. This prize only chooses one person or one group among the five eligible fields, namely Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Life and Health, New Materials and New Energy, Advanced Manufacturing and Fintech.
